Students Return to a Transformed East Union High School Campus

Students returned to East Union High School for the first day of classes with something entirely new to experience—a modernized campus designed to support learning, collaboration, and student success.

As part of Manteca Unified School District’s $65 million campus modernization program, C.T. Brayton & Sons helped deliver significant improvements that are reshaping the educational experience for current and future generations of students.

A New Era for East Union High School

The centerpiece of the modernization is a new two-story classroom building featuring:

• 31 modern classrooms
• A media center
• Student commons area
• Outdoor learning spaces

Designed to encourage collaboration and flexible learning, the new facility provides students and educators with spaces that reflect today’s educational needs.

Expanded Facilities for Students

The campus improvements also include a new small gymnasium, weight room, and indoor physical education space supporting wrestling, aerobics, and other athletic programs.

Funded through Manteca Unified’s Measure A bond program, the project represents a long-term investment in both academic excellence and student wellness.

Building for the Next Generation

On the first day of school, students were welcomed with a celebratory atmosphere as they explored their new classrooms, gathered with friends in the quad, and became the first to experience the transformed campus.

Principal Eric Simoni described the new classroom building as a space that will benefit the entire school community, while district leaders continue investing in facilities that prepare students for success both inside and outside the classroom.
