For over 80 years, C.T. Brayton & Sons, Inc. has helped shape communities throughout California’s Central Valley through dependable construction services, long-standing relationships, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
Founded in 1946 by Carl Towne Brayton and his sons, Franklin and Donald, the company began as a small family operation with a simple goal: deliver quality work, stand behind every project, and earn the trust of every client.
Today, that same philosophy continues to guide everything we do.

Working from Donald Brayton’s home in Escalon, the company quickly established itself as a trusted general contractor for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and educational construction projects throughout the region.

Growing the Legacy
In 1975, Robert “Bob” Brayton joined C.T. Brayton & Sons after graduating from California State University, Fresno and gaining valuable experience with other construction firms. Over the following decades, Bob helped guide the company through significant growth while remaining committed to the values established by previous generations: quality construction, strong client relationships, employee development, and community involvement.
In 2011, Ross Brayton joined the company, representing the fourth generation of family leadership. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and former professional baseball player in the San Diego Padres organization, Ross brought additional construction experience, union carpenter training, and a forward-thinking perspective to the business.
Today, Bob and Ross continue to lead C.T. Brayton & Sons together, combining decades of industry knowledge with innovative ideas and modern construction practices. Their shared commitment to integrity, collaboration, and quality ensures the company remains focused on delivering exceptional results while honoring the legacy established over 80 years ago.

As the company continued to grow throughout the 1980s and beyond, leadership remained committed to preserving the values and character that built the business.
Since 1969, C.T. Brayton & Sons has operated from its historic headquarters on Jackson Avenue in Escalon. Rather than relocating, the company chose to preserve and renovate the property, reflecting the same long-term commitment we bring to every project and partnership.
Our roots in the Central Valley run deep, and our relationships with local schools, healthcare providers, businesses, and public agencies continue to be one of our greatest strengths.
