C.T. Brayton & Sons Awarded $15 Million Manteca Unified Nutrition Services Remodel

C.T. Brayton & Sons has been awarded the contract to complete a $15 million renovation of Manteca Unified School District’s new Nutrition Services facility, a project designed to improve operational efficiency and support the district’s growing student population.

Located at 550 Carnegie Street in Manteca, the 58,000-square-foot building will be transformed into a centralized hub for nutrition services, bringing together warehouse operations, office space, and food service support under one roof.

Supporting a Growing School District

The renovation will address several long-term operational needs, including expanded warehouse capacity, upgraded refrigeration systems, modern office space, and improved facilities for district nutrition staff.

The project also includes a new test and training kitchen, creating opportunities for staff development while laying the foundation for future expansion. District leaders have also identified the potential for the space to support career technical education programs, including culinary arts, in the years ahead.

Investing in Long-Term Efficiency

By consolidating Nutrition Services into a single location, Manteca Unified will improve day-to-day operations while reducing its reliance on leased warehouse space. The project also frees valuable space at the district’s existing facilities and provides the capacity needed to support continued enrollment growth.

With district enrollment expected to increase over the coming years, the renovated facility has been designed to meet both current operational demands and future expansion.

Building for the Future

C.T. Brayton & Sons is proud to partner with Manteca Unified School District on another project that strengthens educational infrastructure throughout California’s Central Valley.

Once complete, the renovated Nutrition Services facility will provide modern, efficient spaces that support district operations while helping ensure students continue to receive reliable, high-quality meal services for years to come.

“Modern facilities help school districts better serve students today while preparing for tomorrow’s growth.”
