Bob Brayton Inducted into Escalon Unified School District Hall of Fame

C.T. Brayton & Sons President Robert “Bob” Brayton was honored with induction into the Escalon Unified School District Hall of Fame, recognizing his decades of leadership, community involvement, and lasting contributions to local education.

Bob joined the family business in 1975 and has spent nearly five decades helping lead C.T. Brayton & Sons while strengthening communities throughout California’s Central Valley. Since 2004, the company has completed 31 construction projects for Escalon Unified School District, totaling more than $55 million in improvements.

Notable projects include the Escalon High School Performing Arts Center, library and cafeteria, El Portal Middle School gymnasium and classroom additions, Dent Elementary modernization, the Escalon High School athletic field and track improvements, and new classroom additions at Dent Elementary.

During the ceremony, Bob reflected on his family’s deep connection to the district, noting that his mother, aunt, and cousin all served as educators within Escalon Unified. He also expressed appreciation to former Superintendent Ron Costa for the nomination and to the Board of Trustees for the recognition.

The Hall of Fame ceremony also honored Al Caton and Bryan Ney for their contributions to Escalon Unified School District, while Gustavo Arzac, Alyse Kisst, and Leslie Fross were recognized for excellence in educational leadership and service.

The evening celebrated the educators, community leaders, and partners whose dedication continues to make a lasting impact on students, schools, and the Escalon community.
