RIPON – CT Brayton & Sons, Inc. is expected to receive approval from the Ripon Unified school board on handling the preconstruction and lease-lease back services on the Colony Oak Elementary School reconstruction project at tonight’s meeting.
The district has already issued a Request for Proposals – under law (AB 2316), RUSD met with five firms, as required under the established prequalification criteria, receiving proposals from each – with CT Brayton & Sons providing the best value in converting Colony Oak into a state-of-the-arts Science Technology Engineering Math campus.
A Selection Committee also interviewed all five firms, ranking CT Brayton on top of the list.
Pending approval, district staff can negotiate a preconstruction and Guaranteed Maximum Price contract with Escalon-based CT Brayton for the project.
This will take place during the 7 p.m. open session in Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.
Other agenda items include:
-The board honoring Nick Garoutte of Ripona Elementary School and Cyanne McKibben of Ripon High for receiving the San Joaquin County Office of Education’s “Every Student Succeeding” award.
-Trustees will also look to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between RUSD and the Ag Advisory Committee.
-They’re scheduled to OK the MOUs between the district and SJCOE for Artists-in-Schools at Ripon Elementary School and Weston Elementary School.
