Construction Workers who use ladders risk permanent injury or death from falls and electrocutions. OSHA estimates each year nearly 25,000 employees are injured and 36 die from the improper use of ladders. Nearly half of these injuries are serious enough to result in days away from work. These hazards can be eliminated or substantially reduced by following good safety practices. Our safety program focuses on quality training and eliminating the use of ladders when possible, such as moving work to the ground level or providing a more substantial base to work from.
