C.T. Brayton & Sons sponsored team Stepping Up at Escalon’s Relay for Life 2017 this past weekend, May 20-21. The 24-hour long fundraising event invites community members to walk around a track for the American Cancer Society, with money raised supporting cancer patients, prevention, and research.Three of our employees were there all day and all night, from 8:30 AM on Saturday for the Opening Ceremony through 9:00AM on Sunday for the Final Lap. Team Stepping Up, which included CTB employees, friends, and family, walked 1,000 miles over this 24 hour period. Highlights included the Luminaria Ceremony, sharing our Flag-Day themed booth with everyone, and winning “Best New Team.” The event brought in over $35,000.
