This month we focused our training on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and First Aid. In some cases, adequate protection against the risk of accident or injury to health, cannot be ensured by other means, and suitable PPE needs to be provided. PPE protects workers from workplace hazards and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration applies a special standard for PPE used in construction and most PPE used in construction must meet the standards of the American National Standards Institute, or ANSI. PPE is an essential part of keeping workers safe on the job.
